The Mamba League is an 8-week league that was created by Nike and Kobe Bryant in 2017 and is rooted in Kobe’s personal insights to empower girls and boys ages 7-9 on and off the court. By providing access and opportunity for girls and boys of all skill levels to PLAY and LEARN basketball, while adopting a new set of mentalities to help GROW and evolve them into better humans.

A comprehensive clinic that combines training coaches on fundamental basketball skills and the tools coaches need to empower kids - especially girls - to feel more confident and build a lifelong love for the game.
We had 4 clinics in different cities across LA county, providing a safe space for young athletes to play, learn, and grow through the lens of basketball. These clinics aimed to teach the five fundamental pillars of the Mamba Mentality: fearlessness, relentlessness, passion, obsessiveness, and resilience. By embracing these principles, participants gained a stronger sense of self confidence, furthering their development both on and off the court.

On 4.13 (Mamba Day) we hosted our 4th Annual Mamba League Championship Tournament. It was an action-packed 8 weeks leading up to the Mamba Tournament at Galen Center. The top two boys’ and girls’ teams from each participating Boys and Girls Club joined us for the chance to take home the title.

This year, in collaboration with the MAMBA & MAMBACITA SPORTS FOUNDATION and the USC Women’s Basketball Team, we produced the PLAY GIGI's WAY™ Skills Academy in honor of Gianna “Gigi” Bryant’s 18th birthday. We welcomed 100 boys and girls from 3 Boys and Girls Club sites that participated in Mamba League, to PLAY GIGI's WAY™ by embracing joy, curiosity, and competitiveness, while never taking any opportunity for granted, just like Gigi. Our aim was to inspire and empower the next generation of athletes to strive for their best.
